Boarding Trains

Check the train, platform number and departure time of the train for your desired destination.

Train types
1. Limited Express Romancecar

The comfortable all-seats-reserved limited express trains have designator names such as "Hakone" or "Enoshima," depending on destination or time of day, so please check before boarding.
2. Rapid Express

The train with the fewest number of stops after the limited express, running from Shinjuku to Hakone and Katase-Enoshima.
3. Express

Stops at the main stations from Shinjuku to Hakone and Katase-Enoshima. Need no additional fares.
4. Tama Express

Inter-operation service from the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line direct to Karakida Station with no transfers. Stops at the main stations along the Odakyu Line.
5. Semi-express

Stops at the main stations between Shinjuku and Noborito, and at each station between Noborito and Hakone-Yumoto.
6. Section Semi-express

Stops at the main stations between Shinjuku and Umegaoka, and at each station between Umegaoka and Shin-Matsuda.
7. Local

Stops at each station between Shinjuku and Odawara and between Shinjuku and Katase-Enoshima.
Boarding the train
Boarding
- Wait for the train behind the yellow line.
- If platform boarding indicators are provided, line up at the appropriate indicator.
- When the train arrives, let alighting passengers off first and take your turn to board.
Rules aboard the Train
- No smoking is permitted.
- Set your mobile phone to silent mode, and refrain from talking on your mobile while on the train.
- Priority seats are for elderly, disabled or pregnant passengers. Please give up your seat when there is a passenger in need.
