There are two types of Hakone Freepasses:
Ⅰ. A pass that includes a round-trip discount ticket for the Odakyu Line.
Ⅱ. A pass that does not include an Odakyu Line ticket and can be used only within the Hakone area.
The validity period can be chosen as either 2 days or 3 days.

With the Odakyu Line round-trip discount ticket, you can choose to depart from Shinjuku Station or other Odakyu Line stations. If you plan to return to the Tokyo area after your trip to Hakone, opt for a pass that includes a round-trip discount ticket for the Odakyu Line. However, if you are not returning to Tokyo and are heading towards the Kansai region or other areas, choose a pass that is only valid for use in Hakone.

The Hakone Freepass includes the following eight modes of transportation with unlimited rides:

-Odakyu Highway Bus *designated areas
-Tokai Bus *designated areas

When you arrive at your destination, you want to enjoy as much sightseeing as possible, so you’d like to be as comfortable as you can during your travel. By paying an additional 1,200 yen (for one way) for a limited express ticket, you can ride the "Limited Express Romancecar". With a reserved seat and a direct ride from Shinjuku to Hakone, you can make the most of your travel time!

The pass and limited express ticket can both be purchased on the official Odakyu Electric Railway website. If you purchase tickets online, your smartphone serves as the ticket, so there's no need to wait in line at the counter for purchase or redeem tickets. Additionally, the limited express ticket is 50 yen cheaper when purchased online. Tickets can also be bought at the sightseeing service centers located in Shinjuku Station and Odawara Station.
