The Chuo Highway Bus offers the most convenient transportation from Shinjuku to the Fuji Five Lakes, with frequent daily departures from Shinjuku Station West Bus Terminal. Several different buses leave from this terminal, so make sure the one you board is going to your desired destination. Departure times may vary depending on the season, and actual travel time may be affected by traffic conditions.

2 hours 22 minutes - Shinjuku to Hirano: 2 hours 24 minutes
- Shinjuku to Motosuko (Lake Motosu): 2 hours 28 minutes
- Shinjuku to Fuji Go-gome (5th station of Mount Fuji):
