Fuji Hakone 3 Days

This 3-day itinerary will take you to the Fuji area, where you can enjoy a good view of Mount Fuji from Hakone. You are sure to enjoy not only sightseeing, but shopping and the local amusement park as well.

1 Hakone-Yumoto Station

Change here for the Hakone Tozan Train.

Approximately 40 minutes to Gora Station on the Hakone Tozan Train Then transfer to the Hakone Tozan Cable car, for a 10-minute ride. Approximately 8 minutes from Sounzan Station on the Hakone Ropeway

Get off at Owakudani and try the kuro tamago (black eggs), a local specialty.

4 Hakone Glass no Mori Venetian Glass Museum

See for yourself the Venetian glass masterpieces once loved by the aristocrats of Venice. Be sure to see the chandelier, which is a replicate of the one in the Doge's Palace. Other beautiful small glass handicrafts and accessories are on exhibit as well.

Fuji Hakone Pass

Approximately 65 minutes on the Fujikyuko Bus. Then transfer at the entrance of Hana-no Miyako Park to the Fujikko-go Bus or the fixed-route bus for an approximately 7-minute ride.

7 Oshino-hakkai (Eight Springs of Mount Fuji)

Situated in Fujihokuroku and surrounded by mountains, Takahara Basin is home to many springs that draw on underground from Mount Fuji. Take a stroll and enjoy the beauty of nature.

A variety of places of of interest are located nearby, such as a museum displaying music boxes of historical value and a toy museum with many nostalgic toys from around the world.

9 Mount Kachi Kachi Ropeway

Enjoy this 3-minute ride from Mount Tenjo to the peak of Mount Kachi Kachi. The view of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi from the observation deck at an elevation of 1,050 meters is truly breathtaking.

Take the Kawaguchiko Sightseeing Bus Red Line for approximately 15 minutes to Kawaguchiko Station. Then transfer to Fujikyu Railway or to the Fuji World Heritage Loop Bus and ride for approximately 13 minutes (get off at the Chureito Pagoda)

11 Mount Arakura Sengen Shrine (Chureito Pagoda)

As you climb up the long stairway on Mount Arakura from the park, the Chureito Pagoda will come into view. A popular spot for enjoying traditional Japanese scenery, the contrast between Mount Fuji and cherry blossoms and the view of the 5-story Chureito Pagoda are magnificient during the cherry blossom season.
